The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening conditions to give them a chance to forget their current situation and experience something new. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is looking to establish a small network of volunteers who will help in granting the wishes of children with life-threatening conditions in the Walla Walla and surrounding areas. It’s through your work and dedication to these children that they see their wishes come true. Volunteers must be 21 years of age or older, be enthusiastic, and want to make a change in a child’s life. You can volunteer to tutor adults or take a class to brush up on basic skills of reading and match or receive assistance in studying for the GED.

The Blue Mt Humane Society is in desperate need of supplies. They are looking for wet canned food for dogs and cats and dry kitten food. The shelter is open noon to 6pm every weekday and 10 to 4pm on Saturday, but you can drop off donations anytime. If the gate is closed just honk.

YoungLives, a ministry of Young Life which is committed to reaching every kid with the hope of the Gospel of Jesus, has many volunteer opportunities from childcare and meal preparation to one-on-one mentoring.
