SPECIAL EVENTS
The Mom’s Network of Walla Walla creates special events for our members. Many are free of charge to our members (cost is listed in the description if there is one). If you would like to join TMN, you may do so at most of the events. Membership is $20 annually.

TMN WALKS
Meet on Mondays at 9:15 a.m. at the corner of Thorne and Catherine. Walk to town for coffee (usually 9:45 a.m. at Walla Walla Bread Co.) and play at Heritage Park if the weather is nice.
Meet on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. at Pioneer Park by the bronze wagon statue. Walk to town for coffee at Olive and playtime at Heritage Park during nice weather.

TMN FRIDAY PLAY DATES
Meet on Friday mornings in the YMCA upper gym from 9:30 to 11 ($1 per family, free for YMCA members) during the school year. We meet at Fort Walla Walla park during the summer ($5.50 per family).

TMN BOOK CLUB
Devil in the White City by Erik Larson is the next book. We will meet on Wednesday, February 15th at 9:30 a.m. at Beth Swanson’s house. Book & Game gives a 20% discount on the TMN book club book!

YMCA ACTION ZONE
4th Monday  from 10:30 to 11:30 at the YMCA (January 23rd is the next one)
The YMCA is opening up the Fun Zone from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for us to play. There will be instructors for the rock climbing wall. Lots of games to play too. This event is free for TMN/YMCA members and $1 for nonmembers (there is no charge for how many children you have – just per adult). Check in at the front desk.

TMN PARENT WORKSHOPS
This series is a free community event that occurs in the spring and fall. All workshops are free and open to the public and include free childcare at the YMCA!

  • February 9th at 7 pm at the YMCA – Free workshop with free childcare
    Discover how children’s resilience trumps life traumas. Presented by Dr. Mark Brown and Teri Barilla

MOM PROM
That’s right – it’s back! Saturday, April 21st in the evening
Get your gown (any dress will do, but tacky dresses make it all the more fun!) ready for a fun ladies only night out! This event is a fundraiser for TMN and is open to all women. Dessert bar, raffle prizes, no-host bar, and awesome music – will you be there?

CAMP FIRE USA BENEVINT 2012
January 28th at 7:30pm at the Charles Smith Winery

JANUARY’S KIDS CLUB AT SCRAPBOOK ELEMENTS
Saturdays, 10:00-11:00 a.m., $5 per session
Saturday, Jan. 21st: Cards
Saturday, Jan. 28th: Bookmarks
Kid’s ages 6 and up can spend an hour on Saturday mornings crafting away at Scrapbook Elements. Each week will have a different theme with a specific craft for the kids to create. Feel free to drop off your child or you can reserve a spot in the session for yourself too! These sessions fill quickly so please call ahead to reserve your spot today. Call 529-7580.

DISCOUNTED BLUEWOOD TICKETS
Bluewood is partnering with the YMCA to get families skiing this year by offering discounted lift tickets. Proceeds go to the YMCA’s youth department’s Ski First program (the program gives kids the chance to go skiing free for the first time).  Ticket prices are: Adult – $32 ($10 savings), Student w/ASB card $29 ($9 savings), Senior/Child – $25 ($8 savings). CHEAP SKATE AT THE YWCA ICE CHALET
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-3 p.m. Fun for all ages.

BLOCK N’ ROLL
Saturday morning playgroup from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at the Walla Walla Public Library. Hundreds of blocks and lively children’s music help create fun ways to play and learn. Free and open to the public. This event is sponsored by TMN.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE FUNDRAISER
On display December 1st through Christmas in the Marcus Whitman Hotel lobby. Come see the amazing creations by professionals and amateurs. Vote on hyour favorite with cash. All money is donated to the Blue Mt. Community Fund to help homelessness in Walla Walla.

BLUE MOUNTAIN MOPS

FORT WALLA WALLA
An Olde-Fashioned Christmas featuring enlargements form the Museum’s extensive Christmas postcard collection, sleigh, toys and more. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through December 23. Admission is $3.50 for adults, $3 for seniors 62 and up and for students, $1.50 for children ages 6-12, and free for 6 and under.

SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT ROUNDTABLE

ONGOING EVENTS

CHAMPION BUILDERS
A Christian-based after school program is now enrolling. Located at the New Beginnings Chapel. Call 509.527.3385 for more information.

THE ROCK
Wednesdays at 4 p.m. 3rd, 4th and 5th graders and dinner for families from 6-6:30 p.m. at the 1st Presbyterian Church (325 S 1st Ave)

PLAYBRIGHT LEARNING GROUPS

Jazzercise has a new location and all new classes!! The location is 23 A1/2 Spokane Street (right behind Cookie Tree, across the street from Oddfellows).
