Caramelized Onion & Goat Cheese Sliders – An elegant take on the burger.

recipe-slidersWe typically have a “burger” night at our house once a week. With four kids it is always on the wishlist for dinner. I particularly like this recipe –which was developed by our good friend John at Graze-because it elevates the slider/burger to a whole new level. You can use any other cheese but there issomething about the “tanginess” of chevre that just compliments the yummy caramelized onions. Besure not to over work the meat as it can make it tough. AND do not to skip adding the fresh thyme as itmakes the beef flavor “pop” I don’t know why it just does.


My choice of sides (other than Tim’s Cascade potato chips and ketchup) would be a tossed green salad, along with Baked Sweet Potato Fries again from my go-to gal Ina Garten! If you like a bit of heat, add a few dashes of cayenne pepper to the fries before you bake them.
